How do we get a group of aussies in the adult biz in one place, networking, doing biz, drinking piss, what ever, just get together and meet?

And this would mean big or small.
Face to face relationship between merchants and affiliates, publishers and advertisers.

No mater if you have one adult website and work as a publisher, and get paid to attract traffic to a adult sponsors program. Network with other aussies and cash in and reap the benefits of the online adult industry.

To those that own and run the adult programs, pay site owner or sponsors, what ever.

Big and small fish in the online aussie adult industry in the one place.

Well thats another vote for Sydney - and I'm thinking somewhere in town, that way its easy for everyone to train it down. Prefereably somewhere were they sell steaks, drinks, alcohol, have pool tables, and you can smoke - which right now I'm thinking somewhere at 'the Rocks' at circular quay.

Better yet, we can meet there [or anywhere for that matter] and then I'll take you'se all up to 'Pure Platinum' or 'Mens Gallery' and then we can have a real, proper, good fucking time!! Seriously.

I hear they make a kick ass steak for lunch (I've only ever been there at night and when I'm plastered) so I wouldn't mind finding out for myself. Not that you'll be paying much attention to your food though, cause the women there a fucking phenomenal... hehe

Then I can shout you'se all my drink - which they've kindly named after me... it's called a TPG, or 'The Pornographer'.

Ill do my best, but with my old man not long passed away, and the family running a small pub, getting away for any length of time in the near future will be a humbug for me. We will see what happens. I have to drive 300 klms [round trip] to get to the airport to start with. So a trip like that i would be away for a few days, not real good timing for me just now, sorry. But we will see. I would like to meet yous face to face and get on the piss for sure.

Got to love the warm weather of the north by the sea, everything is cheap. And Townsville is pretty small, so a short cab ride to and from the airport. Motels close, and by the sea, cheap. Everything is close and handy.

And i bet it has been a while since yous have been up north...

And if it only us 3, tgp and nekrom and me well fcuk the cabs i will pick yous up in my car. I have a nissan patrol station wagon 4x4, heaps of room.

Hmm, actually, someone make a note that next year we should ALL meet on the Gold Coast for Indy. Now that would be a sweet arse party. Oh, and on that train of thought, anyone know when the F1 is in Melbourne? January - March?

Hey what can I say, we might as well make an event out of it - and make the most of the trip don't you think? Then we can post the pics up here, and maybe even make it a annual thing.

Personally, my money is on Indy - I fucking love that weekend, and getting a bunch of pornographers to get together and party makes it even sweeter! Damn, with a group booking, imagine how much we could all save on a hotel suite - over looking the track, beach parties, etc.

(okay now the cogs are starting to turn in my head) Fluck, we could even hire some talent for that weekend and turn it into a shoot as well... fun fun fun all around!!!!

Okay so we've come to a consensus and agreed that November sounds like a good time to have the very first official AAW get together. So now feel free to suggest a date, and what’s more convenient for you – then we’ll all decide on a specific day and location in the CBD. [we're getting there, slowly.]

3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th are the weekends...

Well that was my first choice, to hook up there for Indy - I would love to shoot some stuff up there as well... but I don't know if we can still book anything this late in the game. Indy's on in about 6+ weeks isn't it?

Anyone know of some cheap accomdation up there - and I don't mean 15k's away, but actually on surfers. It really could be a wicked time.

Hi all Randall here from ANYwebcam.com, we are located in Melbourne however are more than happy to catch up with people anywhere. We have managed to host a few get togethers in the past with the biggest turnout probably being in Sydney, or Brisbane. I think we probably had about 20 - 30 webmasters at each. The Melbourne crowd seems to be a little smaller from our experience. I would vote for it being in Sydney as its easier for those in Vic and Qld to get to.
I look forward to seeing this progress, and please let me know if there is anything we can do to get involved.

Yesterday i tryed to contact 19 aussies via ICQ and ask for input on this thread and event. 1 was an aussie adult sponsor and was very good about the idea, they said they could maybe, if we get things happening, maybe help out in a few ways at the event. 3 are members of our board, one is very busy of late, so i just sent a quick note as an update on what we are doing with this thread. The other 2 replyed to my ICQ and we had a talk about it at length.

Another had a go at me on ICQ and suggested i was spamming them and thought that was not nice. I tryed to explain we were trying to get something happing for aussie adult webmasters. But in the end i just said sorry for the trouble and if they did not want to suggest some input, we could just leave it at that. I was not spamming anyone, i was asking input on an aussie event.

The others we hope in time will also reply to my icq and or join in this thread with some input on the said event.

Yesterday was i hope a chance to plant the seed with many aussies in the biz, to what we are trying to do with an aussie adult webmasters gathering.

I understand totally, but in this instance I think a more lasting event that evolved through commitment if need be would be something I would certainly like to be part of. Some people just don't see the benefit this has in the states and canada.

Talked to Greenie from GG&J and he let us put up a post on his forum, to let aussies know what we are trying to do.

Also been in ICQ contact with members of our board. A few have also been asking around fellow aussies what they think.

There have been a few false starts at this since the last gathering (a boat cruise on Sydney Harbor run by me in 2004 in I think).

There was also a seminar style gathering held the years before that on the Gold Coast by others.

I organised a lunch time gathering about 6 years ago and I don't remember it being that hard to get people interested but those were different times. Defiantly no body accused me of being a spammer :( Oh how times have changed.

It wasn't a huge sponsored event it was just a dozen or so porn lords:pimpin:, some food, some booze and a friendly chat amongst our selves :)

I may have learned something if I didn't have sooo many drinks.

Alright boys and girls, so seeing as the strived get together has stalled yet again, I thought I’d through my hat into the ring and offer some new ideas and solutions. I’m thinking, seeing as its obvious no one can fully agree to a set time and location around Oz to meet, why not just go along to already established events on the east coast, that way if things fuck up, you’ll still have a good time – no pressure. So with that in mind, this year in 2008, there are already 4 different events on the calendar which I think we should at least consider going to.

First there’s Brisbane Sexpo, (February 28/March 2) this month! Which yes I agree is a little short notice, but I’m still up for it if anyone else considers going. The second event is the Ad-Tech IT convention in Sydney (March 12/13) which should be pretty easy to get to considering it’s in the heart of the city. Then there’s the big one, Sydney Sexpo (July 24/27) which gives us all plenty of time to arrange things from now and clear schedules [NO EXCUSES!!] lol. Followed finally by the Melbourne Sexpo (November 20/23) which I’m seriously considering going to for the very first time as well.

I say hell, we don’t ALL have to go to all four events, but at least try to get to at least one or two during the year – and make a day of it. As long as there’s a pub and some feed in the area, that’s all we really need. And then, after meeting each other face to face for the first time, we can shoot the shit, have a laugh and a drink, swap stories and casually discuss some biz if need be - but it’s not essential!! At this point I just want to meet you guys, have a laugh, and put a face to the screen names.

I mean fuck, like Nikki Osborne used to say, “It’s not rocket surgery!” lol. I’m just eager to meet all of you, as I think you all are as well, and I can’t see why it should take this long to arrange a casual meet! Fuck, seeing as there isn’t a lot of us horn dogs in Oz anyway, I think it’d be well worth the effort! So with that all said, let’s get this fucking ball rolling and have some fun!!

This idea has a lot of merit and since 2002 I have been involved in more than a few discussions to organise everything from local gatherings to something close to Internext in Oz.

In the past I have attended very well run local gatherings in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne. Internext in Florida wasn't too bad although 16 hours in a plane is a stretch or lack of one lol So we need to get some Aussie gatherings happening ,,,,

In December I caught up with Ash from DeeCash who was in Sydney ...... the day after CTB and him did Kings Cross, and the benefit of networking can't be denied :)

I am based in Sydney and will be attending Sexpo in Sydney and am always ready to hook up with other Aussie Webmasters. We also have a few Aussie Webmasters at our board so please feel free to lmk of any developments on ICQ 512 915 and I will keep them in the loop :)

not a piss up in a brewery as breweries are often far out of town and the transport situation can be a hard one to sort out.
