Un-fucking-believable! The dollar floating around, .86 AUD today.

Bloody terrible converting USD to AUD. And no sign of a slow down, of it going north, even more.

Tell me about it mate.

It's also fuking depressing when you go to book a hotel in a 3rd world country such as Asia, & the prices go up their because of our shithouse AUD.

I know what you are saying mate.

Converting USD to AUD, the fuking bank adds its extra charges on top of the transaction. We get hit an extra cent on the world rate. Blow'n out to .87+ AUD. Then thier's the fee for bulk checks. Unbelievable.

Sounds like also your hotel, and total holiday are going to cost more..........

Jup. While hotel wise & everything over there has gone up, in the grand scheme of things it's still cheap. Business class tickets price were a bitch though, by the time they've bung on taxs, fuel charges and everthing else.

Good thing about this industry though is the freedoms it brings, to just say "fuck it" and take 2 weeks off. :D

it is not a good climate for our dollar to surge. It will throw us back twenty years. This is the true risk our pm has been taking, swapping foreign debt for fools gold. Thanks mate, time to book into a psych ward. Pauline Hansons idea of "Printing more money" was better... I can safely say our next pm will not be howard, and peter costello looks like the cat with a feather in his 'hat', and he so wants to dob on you this time..... the games up, you are needed no further, kick your feet back and relax knowing I'm paying for your steak, and mistake.

Could be time to start looking for sponsors that pay in Euros.

The outlook for the USD is still not good.

I'm sitting on payout cheques at the moment, hoping the US dollar rate will improve in our favour....

At least i can wait a few months, hopefully things will change soon, but I think that the US economy will fall over at some stage soon bringing the world tumbling down with it...

The aussie dollar has scaled new heights overnight, closing in on 90 US cents. Local currency strategists and or experts expect our dollar to keep going.

But then you have the so called "experts" in the news and such to be quoted to say, "a firmer dollar makes imports more competitive against locally manufactured goods, while exports are less competitive. It's really caused by the resources boom and has an upward pressure on commodities prices, and that's being translated into this higher currency,".

Do any of these so called "experts" really know whats is going on and where this fucking thing is going? They all seem to have a different reason to why this fucker is on the rise, either its a resourse boom or the US fed rate cuts, and none will commet to its fall.

Will we ever see the days of 70 or so cent again, there about?
