OMG its MATT

5 years ago I was powering along with dozens of sites bringing in up to $5k per week when the big crunch hit. It was when the credit card companies changed their rules and made it very hard to get signups. Almost overnight I dropped to about $200 per week and that even kept dropping. My traffic stayed the same and I couldn't believe things could change so dramatically.
Then I looked a little closer and noticed that the few sponsors I had that used third party processors only had about a 50% drop in sales. I later discovered what had happened. The big sponsors could not cope with the drop in sales so to stay in business they had to resort to shaving. The first to be shaved were the smaller and foreign (non-US) webmasters thus resulting in virtually a 100% loss in sales for these WMs.
The long term result of this has been a dominance since that time by the large US based sites.
I dropped out completely when I realised that I was wasting my time:banghead: and I have only now just returned to the Biz and I'm getting reasonable results.
In fact when I first started it took me months to get my first sale but this time round I sarted with nothing and had 2 sales within 2 weeks...not bad I reckon.
I've noticed a big change in the way things are done now and I believe it is due to all you new webmasters being conned by those large US based webmasters. Of course they want you to create hundreds of shit sites and filter all you traffic through them.
I got really pissed of when I saw that the #1 ranked site for "Free Porn" will sell you their no.1 thumb position for $1k per month.
Don't support them I say.
Anybody else have similar experiences or views?
