Well here we go............
Its reported that the adult film industry, which last year announced its support for high definition HD-DVD, has hedged its bets by adopting the rival Blu ray format.
Since the start of the "format wars" between HD-DVD and Blu ray, journalists and experts have claimed that the adult film industry's choice between the two could be a pivotal factor.
Reporters at the US Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week made the discovery while visiting the nearby Adult Entertainment Expo, held at the same time.
Major publishers including Digital Playground and Hustler will offer up to 25 adult film titles on Blu-ray discs in 2008 along with their HD-DVD offerings.
Earlier this week Warner Bros is reported that Hollywood's biggest seller of DVDs, announced that it would publish titles exclusively in Blu ray. The studio represents about 18 to 20 per cent of sales in the US and had been one of the few to back both formats.
Microsoft also indicated it would consider introducing a Blu ray accessory for its Xbox 360 console in the event that consumers decided on Blu ray over HD-DVD. Xbox 360 could get Blu ray player.

The adult film industry is popularly thought to have been one of the deciding factors in the "videotape wars" of the 1980s between the VHS and Betamax formats, though its actual impact on the eventual victory of VHS is debatable.
With pornography increasingly accessed online, rather than through physical sales, the industry's impact on the battle between HD-DVD and Blu ray is likely to be less significant.
Time will tell............
