Another nasty on the loose...
Ones surfers and sales hijacked by the unscrupulous pucken software.
<Report courtesy news.com.au>
Webmasters are affected because the trojan takes away viewers and thus a possible money source from their websites. The trojan, named after the mythic Trojan Horse because of its ability to enter computer systems undetected, attacks Google's AdSense service, which targets advertisements to match web page content.
Advertisements placed by Google in web pages are being hijacked by trojan software that replaces the intended text with advertisements from a different provider, Romanian antivirus company BitDefender is reported to have said.
The trojan redirects queries meant to be sent to Google servers to a rogue server, which displays ads from a third party instead of ads from Google, BitDefender said.
Google said on Wednesday: Google have cancelled customer accounts that display ads redirecting users to malicious sites or that advertise a product violating our software principles. We actively work to detect and remove sites that serve malware in both our ad network and in our search results. Google have manual and automated processes in place to detect and enforce these policies."

Advertisements being stolen......
Mmmmmm, having deja vu all over again. Sounds like a spin off to another (Not) popular piece of software, starting with Z and ending with o. Advertisers and the publisher loved it (Again Not). Except it was said it could steal your hole pucken page with a popup, affiliate code and all.
Mmmm remember this.

Unbelievable, another one....
Thank you. Here ends my public service announcement.
