Have been holding back from moving up an OS.

Is Vista worth the upgrade, from XP SP2? Some have told us that Vista is just a graphical change from the old OS (xp sp2). Or is there more interesting feature's to the new OS that would make it worth it in the, Basic, premium, business, ultimate. Also heard that a lot of third party programs do not work with the vista. Did hear of one feature that sounded ok, the admin password when one went to add a new program.

If it was just graphical change, stuff it, think will stick with Xp for a while yet.

Ive got it on my laptop, but meh can't really tell the diff. Vista is all shiny & new looking and shite, but has that bloody anoying "cancel or allow" setting on by default.

For someone like yourself that has been useing computers for years, and carnt tell or see much in the diff, then i carnt see the point in forking out $ for the upgrade of 3 desktops. A little of that $ can go towards a carton VB 30 pack tins to help this weekend go a little quicker. With a little left over for next wednesday night NRL state of origin footy. Will need another carton then also. Go QLD.

I personally wouldn't do it. I've had the opportunity to upgrade a number of times in the last few weeks and each time I just stand there holding the box thinking, WTF?

I mean besides a few little gimicks, and the glossy new look it doesn't really warrant the extra dough! Maybe if it was cheaper but right now that just a luxury expense. Much rather spend that cashiola on a night out on the town - drinks, chics, etc.

So true TGP, it does sound just a luxury at the moment. Will put the cashiola to better use, for now.
