The suburb of Noble Park in Melbourne, is getting thrown up in the media of late as a wild place to live. They are saying today that a group of drunken youths assaulted a policeman last night. The 2 police stopped to speak to a group of 20 youths, who police said were Sudanese, standing on the road. One of the men then punched him from behind and knocked him to the ground. Several other members of the group joined in the attack, kicking the policeman a number of times before fleeing.
This happening the day after the funeral and wake of a Sudanese teenager believed to have been a racially motivated attack two weeks ago near Noble Park train station.
Anyone on the board live near there, whats it like, is it as bad as the media is saying, gang violence out of hand in the communities?
